Online Learning—Why It’s More than Video Lectures
If you have taken an online course or you are teaching online, you’ll notice that many online courses include instructional videos. In fact, studies have shown that the majority of online courses incorporate the use of instructional videos.
While instructional video is a powerful learning tool, it mainly provides a passive learning experience. To make online learning become truly successful, you will need to build an online learning community where students and instructors can interact and collaborate with each other. To achieve this, you will need more than instructional videos.
