EDUonGo to recreate site with new and improved features

MyVocubulary.com, a free online vocabulary site that provides vocabulary puzzles to K-12 schools, has partnered with EDUonGo Inc, a cloud-based platform that hosts online academies.

MyVocabulary.com delivers vocabulary puzzles to over 25,000 schools looking to strengthen students’ reading comprehension and verbal skills with the use of Latin and Greek root-word study; all puzzle activities are aligned to Common Core standards.

After receiving requests from teachers to improve their site features, MyVocubulary.com selected EDUonGo to redesign their website and expand their reach to provide more puzzles and features at different levels of difficulty for teachers and students.

As part of their agreement, EDUonGo will redesign MyVocabulary.com’s current model and make the site accessible to mobile devices. EDUonGo will also integrate their learning platform into the site and add a subscription service that allows teachers to add new words and modify existing puzzles to meet his or her objectives. Additionally, the subscription fee will provide easier access to students on mobile devices.

“I wish MyVocabulary.com had existed when I first moved to the States,” says Steven Yee, COO of EDUonGo. “Because English is my second language, learning the vocabulary was a challenge for me. I can understand how beneficial MyVocabulary.com’s puzzles are, particularly for foreign students.”
